Country Focus

Sub-Saharan Africa is our region. Within it, sites are selected against an open framework — not opportunism.

Selection framework

  • Need — burden of disease, workforce density, infrastructure gaps
  • Operating environment — political stability, regulatory clarity, security
  • Government partnership — willingness to integrate with national plans
  • Diaspora engagement — strength of contributor communities abroad
  • Local partner availability — clinicians, operators, civil society
  • Currency and fiscal stability — to protect contributed capital

Phase 1 candidates

A shortlist of countries is being assessed. Public announcement will follow Board approval, partner agreements, and government MoU — not before.

Long-term region

NFAHS focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa. The lessons, standards, and curricula developed here are designed to be re-used and adapted by partners in adjacent regions.
